Faith Kirby Jenkins Memorial Percussion Award Fund
December 23, 1978 - February 20, 2026
The marching band class of '97 is kick starting a memorial fund in honor of Faith Kirby Jenkins. Proceeds from the fund will go toward the sponsorship fee for the Outstanding Percussion Award at The Festival of Bands competition at Beechwood High School.*
*Funds raised beyond the cost of the 2026 Outstanding Percussion Award sponsorship will remain in the memorial fund to support this award in future years.
IN HER MOM'S WORDS
A Note from Faith's Mom
Faith used to love to tell people she spent 8 years in the Beechwood H.S. Marching Band; for those that didn't know the school, this seemed quite odd. She was a flag helper in 5th and 6th grades. She started playing the trumpet, then the flute. She found her home in the sideline percussion, or the Pit. She would tell you this was the happiest time of her life.
Her band journey came full circle when she became a member of the Campbell County H.S. Band Boosters. She enjoyed being a Band Mom, especially helping out at their competition!
She would have been happy and honored to know that this year's Best Percussion Trophy was being named after her.
Faith, you are missed and loved and never forgotten.
